As you may be aware, these requirements, which are laid down by the Health and Safety Executive, specify that checks to all patient lifting equipment must be undertaken by a qualified technician at intervals of a six month period.
It is most important that this safety test must include load testing to a level which exceeds 25% of the equipments stated capacity.
